Directors Note:
This play was rehearsed over zoom, staged in a backyard in Park Slope, and filmed over one weekend. It was a huge undertaking in an era where we still didn’t know what theatre would look like in the coming year. We are delighted to share this international, mixed media production with our bluebird audience and look forward to the theatre of the post pandemic times.
The Greeks have conquered in their last battle against Troy, all the heroes are dead, and the women and children are held in a camp. Hecuba, their queen, awaits word from the messenger, Talthybius, for all their assignments. We find out just how low the Greek army will sink after devastating a people, and the great strength of the human spirit.
